Christmas Traditions

As a kid, Christmas excitement started sometime in October when my parents and grandparents requested my Christmas list.  It's a shame, but I was writing lists up until I was at least 21.
I'm obviously too old for that now.
We have tons of Christmans traditions in my family; many I'll be blogging about as they approach.  But Christmas lists were the beginning (as an adult I now know it was smart planning and shopping purposes).
Today, the hubs and I were discussing Christmas for Lauryn.  I'm sooo excited for her 1st Christmas.  I think she'll be walking by then.  I can just envision her bothering the ornaments on the tree, rummaging through the presents, trying to eat the wrapping paper...
I wrote Lauryn's  first Christmas list today.  Christmas comes at a big developmental stage; she's about to be ONE.  I had to separate things appropriate for the holidays and things more appropriate for her birthday less than a month later.
Of course, these are things I think she needs or want her to have.  But, I can't wait for the year when she is writing the list for herself.
The tradition begins...
